Somedays are just bound to be a raspberry on top and today was the day. I got my little one off to school and headed to the Junior League of Lafayette’s Tinsel & Treasures Holiday Market. This beloved holiday market hosts over 100 merchants with unique gifts, clothing, jewelry and amazing artists like my friend Dee Dee. If you are near, it’s open until Saturday at 5 at the Cajundome Convention Center. Go check it out! You might even see Santa as we did today!
I visited with friends of old and got to meet a whole new team of local ladies that I am joining as a contributing writer for Lafayette Moms Blog. This incredible group of ladies will be posting blog material from what’s new in town to tip and tricks that make being a mom easier. Be sure to follow us for the latest greatest what’s up with Lafayette Moms.
New opportunities are blooming and I am jumping along for the ride. I am learning new things, meeting new people and expanding my horizons. I’ve created new space for growth in my life. Thank you Oui Power Yoga for my yoga and meditation practice. I’ve heard of this new freedom that comes with 40 and by golly I think I’ve found it.
Today I offer you a childhood favorite, pink milk, as it was affectionately referred when I was a child. Yep, pink milk and I do not mean the powdered stuff we remember as children. I mean nondairy milk, strawberries, and a bit of sweetener. Blend it, pour it in a glass and top it with coconut whipped cream. You remember that recipe from the other day? Check it out and surprise your little one with some homemade pink milk today!
